Willimantic River

The Native Americans who lived by the Willimantic River called it Wilimentuck which meant "land of swiftly moving waters". The Willimantic River is located in Willimantic, CT and goes through the Tolland and Windham counties. The river flows for 25 miles. The river used to power mills, but since 2007 all those mills have become destroyed unfortunately. The river joins the Natchaug River down south more after it was originated by the Furnace Brook.
