Wappasening Creek was named by tribes of Native Americans that were located in Delaware. The term Wappasening translates to “Place of White Stones.” This creek is 19.8 miles long and 801 feet above sea level. It flows out of Bradford County, Pennsylvania and is connected to the Susquehanna River at Nichols, New York. This region has roughly 78 inhabitants per square mile. Some natural vegetation has been preserved, but the majority of the region has been cultivated. Although it is relatively safe to live near Wappasening Creek, flood risk in the area is considerably high.Wappasening Creek
